Bread made
with patience.
Coffee poured
with intention.

At Hazelwood Cafe, every loaf is a 48-hour commitment to sourdough, every pastry is folded by hand, and every cup of coffee is pulled from single-origin beans roasted in small batches.

Our story

A neighborhood
baking tradition
you can taste.

Hazelwood Cafe began as a quiet conviction: that the best bread doesn't need shortcuts. Located on Second Avenue in Pittsburgh's Hazelwood neighborhood, we've built our practice around three simple principles — real ingredients, unhurried fermentation, and the kind of attention that shows up in every crust and crumb.

Our sourdough starters are over a decade old. Our coffee is sourced from roasters who share our respect for origin and process. And our space — bright, unhurried, and honest — is designed to feel like a kitchen table you're always welcome at.
